Tampico, Mexico, December 12, 2018 – A Mexican restaurant chain is going global with a new concept: a Tampican-themed restaurant.
The company, Tampicos, is offering the same “authentic” cuisine found at Tampaco, which opened its doors in 2014, and the “Mexican” dishes at other restaurants in the country, including El Pino, the flagship Mexican restaurant in Tampo, Mexico.
The “Tampican” menu, which includes a “pork taco” dish, is part of the company’s ongoing campaign to bring the authentic taste of Mexico to the masses.
“We know that Mexicans have a deep love for our culture and cuisine,” said the company in a statement.
“This is why we are thrilled to announce the launch of our new restaurant, TAMPICOS in Mexico.
It will be a Mexican-themed experience that will be enjoyed by our loyal customers.
We are thrilled with the success of our first restaurant, El PINO, and we are confident that this new experience will resonate with our Mexican fans.”
The company said it has received a huge amount of interest from customers who have visited Tampos restaurants in other countries.
In Mexico, the El Pinos restaurants offer a menu of traditional Mexican fare like pork tacos, beef brisket, chicken and vegetable stir-fry and the most famous dishes: the pork taco, which is a traditional dish of the Mexican people.
The restaurant is owned by El Piojas, the family-run chain of restaurants.
Tampios’ first Mexican restaurant is a joint venture between the family and the restaurant group, said Carlos Garcia, president of Tampicao.
The El Picoas are also responsible for Tampics Mexican restaurant El Pini, which was the only Mexican restaurant to open in Mexico in 2016.
“El Pino is the only restaurant in the world that we can say is a Mexican restaurant,” said Garcia.
“They have been serving Mexican food for more than 30 years.
We will not be the only ones to offer a Mexican food experience.”

TAMPICS has already expanded its menu of Mexican dishes in Mexico, including a “Mexicos Tacos” dish.
“The Tampino family is excited about the opening of the new Tampiao, as we share in their commitment to the Mexican community and to providing a great experience for our customers,” said Jorge Guadalupe, president and CEO of TAMPICAO.
The Tampiatos are a joint effort between El Pinones and TAMPico.
The original Tampicas restaurant in Oaxaca, Mexico opened in 2003.
The chain expanded to other parts of Mexico and the U.S. in recent years, and it opened a branch in Las Vegas in 2015.
El Pincas restaurant, opened in 2017 in a new location in San Diego, CA, is also a TAMPICO venture.
